Just saw some serious sh#%.

So a couple of weeks ago I came across this, and was instantly hit with a surprise brick of happiness!



I had no idea that Hot Toys even existed, let alone that they created a 1/6th figure of Marty McFly and the Delorean time machine! Not to mention with the most accuracy and detail that I've ever seen. Maybe there has been something like this or better before, but it'd be news to me! I have made it a goal to get my own Marty. Not only has the movie been a big part of my childhood growing up, but Marty McFly is one of my favorite characters ever (and Michael J. Fox is also amazing)!



All the detail in the clothes and props have me floored. The only thing missing is the branding from the props and clothing, which I have seen people take the time to add themselves. And for a 1/6th figure I think Marty's face is really well done. Even though it might not look like Michael J. Fox to a T, it still does resemble him a whole lot and the eyes are so life-like!





So sorry future BJD's, looks like I will be saving up for McFly over here! It is my density! I hope he doesn't become sold out before I can save up enough! Have to stop being a scaredy loser and putting off work or getting my artwork out there! Goddammit it's your livelihood woman! *shakes self* Ok, getting sidetracked. CHECK OUT THE PROPS AND PARTS! For $235 I'd say this figure is well worth that price. I cannot wait!



 

Movies and newses.

I upped the ante on my Netflix so I could feed my romance fix faster. Yeah recently I had a random urge to watch squishy love films. Random, that's me.

Looks like I will be redoing a face up which I am mostly happy about and determined. Sometimes a sculpt just gives you a hard time. The thing I dislike most is when lips do not have much definition. It's then easy for them to turn out looking like a duck bill or a sour face. ( > x O) So I'm dedicated and ready to fix this boy up RIGHT!
Rohava's boys were completed yesterday and are on their way home today. Ryu's are really handsome, crush.

Now about my dolls. I have a huge array of stories and possible characters collecting in my mind. It's a bit frustrating when you just want all of them in doll form now! It's impossible unless you're wealthy. I think because of this two characters are morphing into one! Bikou and Prise are becoming one. I am leaning more towards Prise though, since the story I created about her is more elaborate, and I also already have Prise's counterpart, Amalgam. The look however resembles Bikou's. So I'm saving to order a Crobidoll Jerome who I think can be Prise...but he maybe Bikou....or both...or neither. I seriously don't know. However I drew this up last night, and it surprised me. It's Bikou and it's Prise. What the hell!

 

Wilderness

I watched Into the Wild last night and I've never heard of the true story before, so it came at quite a surprise to me. I remember when it came out and I would hear a little about it, but I thought it was a fiction about a kid who tells his family and friends he wants to live in the wilderness. They tell him he's crazy but supports him. Ha! I had no idea what was coming. Oh boy.

I think the tone of the movie led me to have the strangest dream. The strangest part was (be prepared to laugh) I was painting dolls outside on like abandoned overgrown train tracks.. I had two tan dolls belonging to 2 different people. One was a expensive Volks, the other I believe a Migidoll Ryu (which they don't make either in the tan color they were in my dream). I'm cleaning them off with W&N and THEY START TO FALL APART! The Volks face cracks right down the left side. The Ryu is crumbling like an eraser! I'm freaking out! How do I explain this to the owners. Why is this even happening? My mind came up with the idea that someone sold that person a "fake" doll made out of Sculpey and passed it as a resin Volks. Hahah! Oh girl.

I'm going camping tomorrow..how ironic..or not...I never know how to correctly use that word. I'm going to try to finish up 3 commissions today. Let's see if it works. I finished this guy last night. Tan Els are soooo handsome!
